Principal Photographer: Eugene Goh
Coming from a technical background, making a switch to photography seemed like a bit of an odd decision, but Eugene’s keen attention to details and an eye for spotting what makes a good photograph made the transition a little easier to bear.
In 2003, he apprenticed at an internationally renowned Bridal photography company. Working primarily in Bridal and Portraiture, he rose to become one of the principal photographers. In 2008, he made the difficult decision to leave and start Light Works Photography.
Bridal and Portraiture remained the main work, but striking out on his own meant he could start pursuing Corporate, Product and even Architectural/Interior Photography.
“I can’t deny that Photography was a little bit of a lucky accident. I never knew I wanted to be a photographer but after getting my first proper camera, I was hooked and it became and all-consuming passion. From that to an actual career took a lot of hard work (and a bit of luck!) but photography has given me so many experiences; access behind closed doors, being the first to see new technology/products. I really wouldn’t want it any other way!”
Eugene resides in Singapore, but will travel for the right assignments.
